Before arriving at Flam, Sharon made sure to buy me a Dale of Norway sweater. I guess I didn't bring enough warm clothes with me. Leaving Kingston when it was 25 deg and coming to a climate of a high of 18 was difficult to pack in anticipation..

We're getting ready and looking over the countryside

A view of the low clouds from Deck 8 on MARS

I would never get tired on the sporatic house and colors. Lots of trees here...I say that as you'll see a difference as we proceed west to Iceland.

you wonder how communities like this thrive

I know that if I was younger, those mountains and waterfalls, just call for a photographer to try and capture them

The isolationist...

Look how low the clouds go

Well, we disembark and head up by bus to the Stegastein Viewpoint

Yes, my lovely wife stayed back.

My view

I guess you're wondering how we got up so high? Well, we came by bus. Large roads you're thinking with the tourist magnet that this is? Well it turns so much I wasn't able to capture the turns as well as I would have liked to capture. As you can also see, this is not a "real" two lane highway so there are indentations along the road that if you see another vehicle coming and you're closer to the indentation then you high-tail-it to that location and allow the vehicle to pass. Believe it or not, everyone is very polite...or was it the fact we had a 40 pax bus? lol

We got bacck to the ship and at 6pm headed off for supper

After supper we took another tour of the boat. You'll notice how plentiful the boat it? We hardly meet anyone and there is always a free chair (s) or table for whatever we want.

A saliboat just heading out for some late evening sailing

I sat and watched as Norway passes by
